Bible Prophecy Mystery Fiction Book

Door of the Gentiles is a fictional mystery book that explores two theories about Bible prophecy. The first mystery is the 70th week of Daniel, and the second mystery is the fullness of the Gentiles in the book of Romans.

Theory of 70 Weeks Fulfilled:

In the Old Testament book of Daniel, the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel with a message about seventy sevens, also known as 70 weeks, which is 490 years. The prophecy gives a mysterious timeline for the destiny of Jerusalem and the future of God’s people.

The theory in the mystery book, suggests the 490 year timeline in the book of Daniel may have started at the decree from the Persian King Artaxerxes in 457 BC to rebuild Jerusalem, and then continued until the time of Jesus Christ.

The Bible prophecy in Daniel says an anointed one will be cut off “after” 7 and 62 weeks. If Jesus is this anointed one, His death would have been during the 70th week, which means that final week, or 7 year time period, has already passed. If this is true, the rapture and second coming do not have to wait for a future 70th week, as some people believe.

This theory also suggests that the “prince” mentioned in Daniel 9:26 may refer to the Roman general Titus, who destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, as recorded by the historian Josephus, not a future world leader.

  • Daniel 9:25: Prophecy timeline 490 years (70 sevens) from the decree in 457 BC to the ministry of Jesus.
  • Daniel 9:26: If Jesus is the“anointed one” He was crucified after 7 plus 62 weeks, during the 70th week.
  • Daniel 9:26: Roman general Titus may be the “prince” who destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD.

Theory of Gentile Completion:

This Bible mystery book also includes a theory that suggests there is a cutoff time for the Gentiles (non-Jewish people) to accept God’s salvation, before the door is closed.

The book of Romans 11:25 says: “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

  • The Prophecy: This verse implies the fullness of the Gentiles has an end point when something happens to Israel.
  • The Author: The Apostle Paul wrote about this mystery when he sent a letter to the church in Rome.
  • Luke 13:25: Jesus tells a story of when the master of the house shuts the door, and says I do not know you.

In the book, these Biblical mysteries are presented at a Global Prophecy Summit in Rome. It sparked conversations and thoughts about raising awareness of what it all means.

Some Implications of Both Theories:

  • Imminent Return: God decides the timing of His plan and Jesus can return at anytime without delay.
  • Complacency: Believing the 70th week is a far off event in the future could lead to spiritual complacency.
  • Preparation: Some may be caught off-guard and unprepared for the sudden return of Jesus, as indicated by scripture.
